Meet the Advocates

On March 22, 2018 Family Advocates Lesi Elbirn and Kristian Coronado hosted an information session for child welfare and medical professionals. Lesi and Kristian outlined their roles within the CAC and shared resources offered by FSL.  The Family Advocates serve as the first point of contact with families and the multi-disciplinary team members, coordinate forensic interviews, refer families to FSL therapists, refer for medical exams and provide court accompaniment.

The Delaware County Children’s Advocacy Center (DCCAC) is a welcoming space where children who may be victims of child abuse come to talk with a specially-trained forensic interviewer about their experiences. It’s also a place where their families can get the support and information they need about the investigative process and community resources. Meet the team
